Health & Safety in School
We regard the health and safety of our pupils and staff as being of the utmost importance. The policy of this school is to provide and maintain safe, healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work for all our pupils, staff and visitors.
The Governing Body and Head teacher accept responsibility for ensuring that, as far as is reasonable practical, a safe environment is maintained for all pupils, staff and visitors and that all activities and operations are free from risk and properly supervised. All members of staff are adequately trained for the duties they will be required to perform.
Risk assessments and health and safety checks are undertaken by the Head teacher, members of staff and Governors on a regular basis. Disclosure and Barring (DBS) checks are carried out on adults who work in the school and all parent volunteers. A full copy of our Health and Safety Policy is available, on request.
